Andy Novara is a multi-instrumentalist originally from Jamestown ND, currently residing in Pacific, MO. He began playing at an early age and has played venues from the New York City Jazz Festival to the Station Inn and Silver Dollar City. Novara plays Monroe-style mandolin in RiverBend, a traditional bluegrass band signed to EMG Records in Nashville, TN. Novara holds degrees in Jazz Performance on Guitar and Mandolin from Southern Illinois Univ Edwardsville. When not gigging or touring, he can be found teaching mandolin, guitar, fiddle, banjo, and bass at the Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy in the American Folk Music Program. Novara has shared the festival stage with bluegrass acts such as Del McCoury, Blue Highway, Bobby Hicks, Rhonda Vincent, Larry Sparks, Sierra Hull, Josh Williams, David Davis, John Reischman, Curtis Burch, Jason Carter, Mike Bub, CJ Lewandowski, Shawn Camp, Billy Contreas, Special Consensus, Kyle Tuttle, Danny Paisley, Ron Stewart, Pat Flynn, Amanda Campbell, Shad Cobb, Danny Roberts, and Dave Peterson.
