Collin Long

Collin Long began studying piano in seventh grade and quickly discovered a deep passion for music that has guided his personal and professional journey. He graduated from Evangel University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Music and Recording Technology, combining classical training with a strong foundation in modern music production.

As a piano instructor at MAFAA, Collin focuses on helping intermediate to advanced students grow as musicians while keeping their personal interests at the center of learning. He encourages students to build a strong foundation in technique, scales, and theory through classical music, while also supporting them in pursuing styles they enjoy, such as jazz, pop, or worship. His approach combines clear explanations, step-by-step skill building, and steady encouragement to create an environment where students feel supported, confident, and inspired to make music.

In addition to teaching, Collin works as a rack build specialist at CTI in St. Louis, designing and assembling audio-visual systems for a variety of clients. He is also an active performer, appearing regularly as both a soloist and a collaborative pianist for local schools, churches, and community events. Outside of work, Collin serves as a pianist and drummer in the worship ministry at Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Park Hills, Missouri.
