Missy Sherrill

Missy Sherrill is a native of St Francois county, as she grew up in Elvins,  and graduated from Central High School in 1969, MAC IN 1971, and went on to SEMO in the fall of 1971 through the first 8 weeks of the fall of 1972. 

From Oct 28, 1972 - May 4, 1974, she traveled the country with the music group The Spurrlows, and even sang backup vocals for country performer, Roy Clark beginning in May of 1973 in Las Vegas. She returned to SEMO the fall of 1974 and graduated in 1975 with a bachelor degree in music education followed soon by the earning of her masters in music education in 1987.


Missy began taking piano lessons at the age of 4 with piano teacher, Essie Mae Reed in Flat River. She continued taking lessons through her 16th birthday. 


Through the years, she has accompanied many vocalists, been a church pianist in several churches in the United States, and is currently church pianist at Elvins Baptist Church in Park Hills.  Missy continues to play daily for her own enjoyment, and she is excited to teach again and share her talents with students who want to learn piano.
